Belleair Storage of Florida classifies as an essential low-risk business so it can serve its tenants’ needs during these unpredictable times. Please rest assured that we are complying with all Federal, State, and Local government mandates. Our office, staff, and businesses working out of their offices or workshops are also adhering to all CDC regulations for businesses and employees.
The following best practices are being applied at Belleair Storage to safeguard our tenants, staff, and ourselves while keeping our business operational as long as possible.
We Maintain Good Hygiene
The priority message from health authorities is to practice good hygiene. That means we regularly clean and sanitize the places customers and staff frequently touch, such as keypads, countertops, door handles, and moving equipment. We have a regime that focuses on these items multiple times a day. We make sure our employees are washing their hands regularly and not working on-site if they show any signs of illness.
Communication is Key
We have a list containing contact information for all of our customers, and we can access it from off-site. If we are required by law to close our facility or restrict access, we can contact our tenants and advise them of the new procedures.
Because we are a bulk mail provider, we are still accepting mail and packages for your convenience. Please be sure to take the necessary precautions, such as sanitizing your package before opening it.
Monitor the Facility
We monitor our facility 24/7 with video surveillance to do the best we can to keep our tenant’s items secure. We still recommend, if you are able to come to the facility, to check on your outside vehicle storage and let us know if you have any concerns.
Maintain Unit Access & Payments
We understand that people still need access to their belongings in climate controlled self-storage. Thankfully, since we are an essential low-risk business, we can still operate. Therefore, we put a system in place to oblige the Pinellas County social distancing recommendations:
- There is a sign on the office front door that reads, “Please come to the side window” (closest to AA building)
- We have placed a red cone six feet away from the side window and red tape has been place on the floor.
- We will open the window once you are standing behind the red line. As always, we will greet you with a friendly smile and ask you, “How can we help you?” We will listen to your request. Please remain behind the red line until we close the window to serve you.
- If you need to make a payment, we highly encourage that you do this over the phone or online. If you need to pay at the window, or if you need the key for your climate-controlled unit, please adhere to the following:
-
- For payment transactions, please come forward and leave your payment on the windowsill. Then, please go back to the red line. We will shut the window and take your payment. Once the transaction is complete, we will leave any change or receipt at the window. Please wait for us to shut the window before coming forward to receive your change or receipt.
- The procedure to retrieve your climate-controlled keys is similar to the payment process. We will place your key on the outside windowsill and close the window. Please come forward to retrieve the key. Once you are finished with the key, please drop it in the front door mail slot or place back on the windowsill. We sanitize the key before and after each use.
We will immediately notify our tenants by email if we are required by law to close our doors. If this happens, please notify us if you need to access your climate control unit or need to make any other changes. Also please refer to your lease agreement if you have any questions about these terms. Thank you for your cooperation!
Storage Facilities Are a Low-Risk Operation
Typically, people do not gather in large groups within a self-storage facility. Therefore, Belleair Storage classifies as an essential low-risk business. We manage distance procedures and good hygiene practices within our business. Staff members who are ill, regardless if they’ve been tested for COVID-19, will stay at home.
